The ageing well hub
The Ageing Well Hub is a welcoming space in Middlesbrough for older people, their families and carers.
It's a place where people can meet others, take part in activities and events and join training sessions.
Visitors can also access information, advice and support from a range of local organisations, all in one place.
The hub aims to:
Help people find local services and support.
Support health and wellbeing.
Reduce loneliness and help people stay connected.
Encourage people to get involved in their community.
Promote independence and healthy ageing.
Help people build digital skills and stay connected online.
Sensory Support Drop in Clinic
The Sensory Drop-In Clinic is for adults in Middlesbrough who are blind, partially sighted, Deaf or hard of hearing.
The clinic takes place at The Live Well Centre (TS1 2PA) on the first Friday of every month and you can drop in any time between 10am and 12 noon.
At the clinic, you can:
Enjoy a free hot drink and chat with local services and other people with similar experiences.
Speak to professionals about support available in your area.
Access information, advice and referrals to local support services.
Take part in a range of activities, including cooking demonstrations, physical activity sessions and mindfulness.
British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters are available to support communication needs.
Family members and carers are welcome and free refreshments are provided.
The clinic aims to improve access to services and support, both at the Live Well Centre and in the local community. It also provides opportunities to meet new people, build social connections and support health and wellbeing.

What’s on Where Guide
